How is shipping calculated?

We will pack your items to be as compact as possible in order to save you on shipping. Below are some factors which will substantially add to the total cost of your shipping

Very Large/Long Items

Very large or long items (such as balloon arch poles) regardless of weight will substantially add to the total shipping cost.  This is standard practice for all couriers.

Heavy Items

Very heavy items (metal products or balloon weights) will also substantially add to the total shipping cost. 

Location matters. Generally, if you are near a medium to large sized city, shipping costs will be less than if you are in a more remote area. 

Remote areas include, but are not limited to: rural areas, small towns far from any major city or airport, small islands, towns with limited road/ferry access, and towns or cities located in Canadian Territories or Northern regions of provinces. 

The service you select (Standard, Expedited, Express, etc.) will greatly impact the total cost of shipping. Do not select the cheapest shipping if you require a rushed order. Standard/ground shipping date of arrival is not guaranteed by couriers. 

If you MUST have your products by a specific date (for an event), DO NOT select a shipping service that suggests it will arrive the day before.  If there are any delays, you won't receive your package when you need it.

1. The more items per order, the more you will save on shipping.  There is a flat rate which couriers charge, and so more items per order will reduce the shipping cost overall. 
2. Plan ahead to select standard/ground shipping.  Order in advance, and allow for a few buffer days to be sure.  The sooner you order the products you need, the more time there is to deal with delays, returns, re-ordering, etc. if need be.
