Outdoor Balloon Decorating Tips
Read these tips to keep your balloons resilient against outdoor weather.

Tips For Outdoor Balloon Decorating
Balloons
- Use high quality balloons, such as the brands sold here at Balloons Online. Cheap balloons will have a higher risk of popping or deflating in various weather conditions.
- Keep balloons in shaded areas, or out of direct sunlight if possible.
- Lighter coloured balloons will stand up better against the direct sunlight. Dark colours are more likely to heat up and possibly pop.
- For helium-filled latex balloons, using Hi-Float will help ensure more longevity against the elements.
- When inflating helium balloons, inflate to their max, and then remove a touch of air. This will ensure that the balloons have room to expand due to sunlight/warmth. Filling them to their max initially will allow for less resistance when expanding and reduce the chance for popping.
- Do not leave inflated balloons, helium filled or not, outside overnight as the fluctuating temperatures and humidity can reduce their quality and float time.
Other Decoration
- Take into account wind direction when placing balloon bouquets and balloon sculptures. Try and place in the way of a wind sheild such as a tree or other structures.
- Ensure bouquets have enough weight not only to keep them down, but to keep them in place when wind is blowing. You may want to consider extra weight than usual.
- Add extra weight to the bases of your balloon arches or balloon columns.
