What is a "flat" balloon? Why is my Mylar/foil balloon not packaged?

The Meaning Of "Flat"

"Flat" is a balloon industry term to mean that the balloon does not come in its own packaging. This normally applies to Mylar/foil or similar balloons, but not latex balloons. We store them "flat" at the warehouse in a stack with other balloons of the same design. When you order them, we take all your "flat" balloons, stack them together, and place them in a bag to protect them before we ship them to you.

Benefits of Unpackaged/Flat Balloons

Cheaper For You. Purchasing flat Mylar/Foil balloons saves you money. Since we purchase them in bulk and they are not pre-packaged, they cost less for us, and we pass those savings onto you.
Increase Your Profit Margins. If you are a balloon decorator and will be inflating the balloon yourself, then you don't require the extra packaging and extra costs with packaged Mylar/Foil balloons.
Cheaper For Your Customers. If you are a retailer, and you are trying to find more cost effective products, these flat Mylar/Foil balloons would be a good way to go about lowering your retail costs.
Saves Space. No need to use an extra display rack or use up more retail shelf-space to display packaged balloons. The flat/unpackaged balloons can be stored/stacked behind the counter. Just be sure to not overly crease or fold your flat Mylar/Foil balloons, as this may ruin the print, especially if you fold the same ones over and over. You may even want to hang one of each popular design on a wall for customers to see and choose, and have the rest of the flat/unpackaged balloons behind the counter.
